Stop Smoking

Do you enjoy smoking? Really? I don’t believe you.
Why would you enjoy something that turns your lungs black, fingers yellow and give you bad breath?
You don’t enjoy it, you have something called an addiction, what addiction does is allows you to justify your behaviour by getting you to say/think things that a rational person without an addiction wouldn’t say, would they?

Smoking is today considered a social faux pas and since the smoking ban in the UK in 2007 making it illegal to smoke in pubs, clubs and restaurants the number of people wanting to give up smoking has increased as the ‘enjoyment’ of smoking has been taken away from social occasions.

This is of course a good enough reason to give up smoking, but statistically the number of deaths in the UK caused by smoking related problems is approximately 100,000 per year.  The World Health Organisation  has identified that the rise in smoking related deaths is still on the increase.

Problems that can occur from smoking can be:

  • Cancer
  • Asthma
  • Heart Disease
  • COPD

In addition to this, if the average smoker were to give up smoking today, by this time next year they would have saved £2500.  That’s a lovely holiday, a new car, or another major purchase that a smoker cannot currently afford.

Hypnotherapy can stop you smoking.  With just one session for the average smoker (20 a day) hypnotherapy will take away the need to smoke, it will stop any cravings and in most cases will not cause any weight gain or any other related ‘cold turkey’ symptoms.

***Did you know *** A cigarette contains between 8-18% sugar which is why when a person quits smoking they will crave sugary calorie filled foods! Giving up smoking with hypnotherapy will take away that craving.

If you have ever used nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) without success, it is worth remembering that the nicotine replacement will help you with the addictive nature of cigarettes but will not deal with the underlying issues surrounding smoking OR modifying your smoking related behaviours.
